An Emerging Power from the South
Sun, Samba, Soccer, Gisele… wine? 2013 is the year Brazilian wine arrives in the U.S. in a big way, and Island Club Brands is leading the charge. The fifth largest wine producer in the Southern Hemisphere (larger than New Zealand), Brazil is the sleeping wine giant of South America. With the World Cup and Olympics on the horizon, Brazilian wine is finally ready to capture the world’s attention, following in the footsteps of neighbors Argentina and Chile. Working closely with Wines of Brasil, Island Club Brands is committed to expanding the awareness and reach of Brazilian wine not only in the U.S. but globally.
Brazilian Wine Regions

Currently, the Brazilian wine regions total 83,700 hectares, divided into six regions: Serra Gaúcha, Campanha, Serra do Sudeste and Campos de Cima da Serra, Rio Grande do Sul, Planalto Catarinense in Santa Catarina and Vale do São Francisco in the northeast of Brazil.
Today there are over 1,100 wineries around the country, mostly based
on small farms (an average of 2 hectares per family). The grape and wine
productive chain combines techniques that ensure the quality of their
labels, such as manual harvesting and cutting-edge technology in
viticulture and wine making processes. Consequently, Brazil is capable of
producing fresh, fruity and balanced wines, very pleasant with moderate
alcohol content. We invite you to enjoy an authentic experience. Drink

From the land of sand and samba, Carnaval is the first mainstream
launch of a Brazilian wine in the U.S. Created by ICB founder Matti
Anttila and produced in the south of Brazil, Carnaval is a light,
refreshing sparkling wine that exudes the fun, celebratory nature of
Brazil.
The white and red moscatos are both 7.5% alc/vol and reflect a
light, tropical palate that pairs well with spicy food, seafood or on
their own.
The brut at 11.8% alc/vol is a more traditional
champagne-style sparkling wine that signals the perfect start to any
meal or occasion.

Beginning in early 2013, Island Club Brands will begin importing wines
from the most important winery in Brazil, Cooperativa Vinícola Aurora.
Aurora was founded in 1931 by sixteen families of Italian descent and
now comprises over 1,100 family members. Based in Bento Goncalves in the
southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, Auroa has been at the forefront of
elevating the quality of Brazilian wine. The winery is based on the
principals of cooperativism - social and economic activity focused on
the welfare of its 1,100 members and the community in which it's based. The
first winery in Brazil to be ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, Aurora aims to
ensure the quality of its products and processes in a social and
environmentally sensitive way.
